- Proactive Data Isolation: We've designed our systems so that Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is inaccessible to our Large Language Models (LLMs). This is not just a protocol, but a foundational architecture choice, ensuring PII never intersects with our LLMs. In the diagram below, you can see the steps we take to ensure your Customer PII never reaches our LLM. From complete exclusion to hashing, we ensure that it is not exposed for any of our downstream data uses.
- Data Scrubbing Protocol: Prior to any data entering our data warehouse (specifically BigQuery), we thoroughly scrub it of PII by leveraging our ETL layer and either dropping, hashing, or extracting only anonymous, needed data (e.g. the domain from an email). This scrubbed data forms the basis for both our internal reporting and any AI/ML tooling, reinforcing a secure data environment.
- Aligned Incentives: We see eye-to-eye with our customers about data privacy. By using the same carefully cleaned data for both our internal reporting and AI/ML applications, we're actively sharing your commitment to keeping personal information safe. It's about working together, with a mutual goal of protecting data privacy.
- Rigorous Data Handling Process: All alterations to our reporting data undergo review by our engineering team, including a mandatory security and privacy assessment.
Further solidifying our commitment, we've signed OpenAI's Data Processing Agreement. This step reinforces our dedication to responsible AI use, ensuring that our operations align with the highest standards of data ethics and compliance.
